Here is a peek at the jerseys each country's players will be sporting as they impress (or underwhelm) over the upcoming month as the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar begins. We take a look at the home kits that will be worn at the FIFA tournament by Group B, from England to Iran, USA and Wales.
Adidas, Nike and Puma designed 26 out of the 32 kits, with Hummel (Denmark), New Balance (Costa Rica), Le Coq Sportif/One All Sports (Cameroon), Marathon (Equador), Kappa (Tunisia) and Major (Iran) providing the remaining six.
Group B
England FIFA World Cup 2022 kit
According to the company, Nike, who developed the England kit for FIFA 2022: The newly redesigned English collection draws its boldness from the English team, showcasing their fierce attitude and teamwork via a variety of design influences. The Three Lions graphic on the shoulders of England's World Cup 2022 home jersey is distorted and layered with aggressive angles and lines to resemble claw marks, while the distinctive Blue Void is combined with vibrant patterns, colour gradients and youthful patterns.
IR Iran FIFA World Cup 2022 kit
Majid has unveiled the home and away jerseys that the Iranian men's national team will wear in Qatar for the FIFA World Cup in 2022. Both have relatively plain rounded necklines, but the inside of the sleeves' cuffs and the waistline are detailed with the green, white, and red colours of the Iranian flag. On the sleeves of the shirts, imprinted spots inspired by the Iranian leopard's coat can be seen. Team Melli has chosen to abandon the cheetah, which had an appearance in 2014 and 2018 for this event. The cheetah's appearance served to increase awareness of the threat to extinction facing Asiatic cheetahs.
USA FIFA World Cup 2022 kit
The United States' home and away kits for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar were introduced by Nike and US Soccer. For the remainder of the 2022–2023 international soccer season, the USA men's, women's, and youth national teams will sport the uniforms. The USA returned to the World Cup with their customary white home uniform despite missing the last one. Their uniforms have distinctive stripes and an “enlarged centre crest akin to basketball jerseys”, Nike said and according to US Soccer the kit was: "Designed to inspire unity, symbolise diversity and celebrate Nike and U.S. Soccer’s commitment to expanding the game for the next generation on and off the pitch, the uniforms will be worn by both National Teams as part of the Federation’s belief in One Nation. One Team." The red, white, and blue colour combination of the home jersey is classic and enduring, and it is inspired by the diversity and rich history of American sports, leagues, and associations. The jersey incorporates iconic uniform design inspiration from American athletics to honour the U.S. Soccer Federation's leadership in establishing and harmonising sport culture in the country.
Wales FIFA World Cup 2022 kit
Since 1958, Wales, or Cymru, hasn't participated in the World Cup. The home jersey for Wales at the 2022 World Cup is made by Adidas and features white shoulder stripes and a red colour scheme. Football fans already adore it. The red home shirt, with its fire-breathing graphic that captures the passion and heritage of the proud nation, is inspired by the dragon, according to the Football Association of Wales. This Adidas Primegreen recycled fabric Cymru shirt has a ribbed crew neck. The national flag's colours are reflected on the Cymru away jersey. The shirt is primarily white and has a red and green V-neck collar that pays homage to vintage Cymru kits.
